SEALS

_

If you're coming to Norfolk and want to experience the natural world, you just have to see the seals. The colony at Blakeney Point is made up of Common and Grey seals and in the Winter of 2014/15 became the biggest colony in England.

Common seals have their young between June and August, and the Greys between November and January. Both suckle their pups for about three weeks during which time they grow very quickly.

A number of companies run hour long trips from Morston Quay to Blakeney Point and along the way you will get lots of information about the area,  its wildlife and how the coastline is ever-changing.   More trip information from: www.sealtrips.co.uk  or  www.beansboattrips.co.uk  or  www.bishopsboats.com

    Beans Boat Trips

Beans Seal Trips have been a family run business for over 50 years and are a very popular and safe way to enjoy a close up view of the wildlife - without disturbing it.

They run every day throughout the season (1st April until 31st October) as well as regularly throughout the winter. They can only operate with the tide so departure times change daily.
