Our Frequently Asked Questions section is intended to cover the most common questions you might have about Church Cottage and your stay with us.

Q: WHAT IS SUPPLIED ON ARRIVAL?

Fresh milk, tea, coffee and a range of basic kitchen cupboard essentials are supplied for your arrival.

Q: DO I NEED TO DO A FULL CLEAN ON DEPARTURE?

The cottage is thoroughly cleaned between holidays, however we would ask that you leave the property in a clean and tidy state - especially if you have had dogs staying at the house during your stay. 

Q: CAN I BRING PETS?

Well behaved dogs are allowed by arrangement at £15 per dog per week.

Q: ARE LOGS PROVIDED FOR THE OPEN FIRE?

Dry logs are provided and the fires will be laid ready for you to light.

Q: ARE LINEN AND TOWELS PROVIDED?

The White Company bed linen, pillows, towels and  bathroom accessories are all provided.  The cot has a mattress, quilt and bumpers.  Guests are requested to bring their own cot bedlinen for babies.

Q: CAN I BOOK A SHORT STAY?

Short breaks and long weekends are available during Low and Mid season. Weekend / 3 nights are priced at £750. Extra night(s) at £150.

Q: HOW LONG CAN I PUT THE COTTAGE ON HOLD FOR?

We are happy to put the cottage on hold for you for 24 hours. However in certain circumstances we are happy to hold it for longer, please ask by phone 07901 284955 or email  louise@morstoncreek.com   

Q: CAN I PAY BY CHEQUE?

We are happy to accept payment by cheque. Please post to Louise Davies at Whissendine Cottage, Whissendine, Oakham, Rutland LE15 7ET.  Please note that the website and other calendars will be updated when the cheque has been received and cleared.  Please put your booking reference number on the back of the cheque.

Q: WHEN DO I HAVE TO PAY THE DEPOSIT / BALANCE?

The deposit will be due within 5 days of making the booking. We will then send you confirmation of the booking detailing when the balance is to be paid. If your reservation is made within eight weeks of your holiday date, full payment will be required within five working days.

Q: WHAT DAY IS THE DAY OF ARRIVAL?

In peak season the cottage changeover is Saturday from 3pm.  However, in low season we can accept bookings starting on an alternative day of the week.

Q: WHAT TIME IS CHECK-OUT?

We kindly ask you to leave the cottage by 10:00am on the day of departure to allow time to prepare the cottage for the following guests.

Q: CAN I ORDER A SUPERMARKET DELIVERY FOR MY ARRIVAL DAY?

A supermarket delivery to the cottage can be arranged however only with prior knowledge in order to verify what time the cleaners will be at the property. The cleaners can take in the delivery and will put any chilled goods into the fridge. The postcode for Church Cottage is:  NR25 7AA
